Flowing Forms

audio-visual performance

Flowing Forms is inspired by the rhythm of the tides and the maritime elements moved by the sea water. It is about micro-movements inside matter, and organic shapes and sounds formed during these processes.

The performance is based on compositions by Lola Ajima and Ingrid Blasco. The pieces are performed live by these two musicians on cello, hurdy-gurdy, and electronics including Logelloop (a versatile spatial looper developed at the place where the residency for creation took place).

During the last residency Yukao Nagemi was invited to propose some live visuals related to the compositions and to the theme of the works. It is a work in progress, using water painting, digital graphics, and effects in symbiosis with the music.

We are very grateful to Logellou for supporting the project and the residencies for composition.
