audio-visual performance

Nature has its breath, its fluid forms, large and small, in air, water and land. The earth’s rotations create night and day, the phases of the moon give the oceans their breath, birds migrate with the seasons, and variations in temperature and pressure create storms or oppressive heat… All these movements shape the earth’s rhythm. More than ever, we are focusing on these movements. As pollution and climate impacts have produced other rhythms, we are now more sensitive to these subtle but powerful balances. The Flowing Forms project is an aesthetic observation, an artistic dialogue and a fascination with these movements – it takes its starting point at the water’s edge with the French Britanny tides…
The performance is based on compositions by Ingrid Blasco and Lola Ajima. The pieces are performed by these two musicians on hurdy-gurdy, cello and electronics. Yukao Nagemi proposes live visuals linked to the compositions and the theme of the works, combining washes, drawings and digital effects.
We are very grateful to Logellou for supporting the project and the composition residencies.
