Initially coined by Lyotard in the Postmodern condition, this concept is about the end of global accounts of human experience, and the emergence of a individually-oriented human condition... Can we however live without beliefs in metanarratives? How do they instantiate in our lives. Privately and socially. Are their derivatives better or worse? In this drawing, I try to evoke the ambivalence of our contemporary condition. Are these characters loving or struggling? Are these background rituals reminiscence of ancient myths, dogmas, and celebrations? With such a diversity, how can we share the unsharable, because narratives have become idiosyncratic and more often implicit than revealed.
